Annual Benefits Enrollment 2024

The Annual Benefits Enrollment period (July 15-31) is an opportunity for benefits-eligible employees to enroll in or make changes to benefits for the upcoming plan year, including adding or removing dependents, enrolling in an FSA (Flexible Spending Account), signing up for Short-Term Disability Insurance, and more.

Note: This is the only time you may make changes to your benefits unless you have a qualifying life event (e.g., loss or gain of group health insurance, change in marital status, birth/adoption of a child, etc.).

Use the buttons below to access resources about your benefit options, including brochures, videos, and contact information, to help with your elections for the new plan year.

Medical & Prescriptions  Dental & Vision  Life & Disability

FSA (Flexible Spending Account)  Health & Wellness

Any new elections or changes will go into effect Sept. 1, 2024, which marks the beginning of the new benefit plan year. Note: For Voluntary Life Insurance, plans will become effective upon approval of EOI, if applicable.

Want to keep the same benefits for next year?

No action is required, unless you have a FSA (Flexible Spending Account). If you have a UT FLEX account, you must reenroll every year.

Want to review or change your benefits for next year?

Visit My UT Benefits, select The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and follow the prompts.

Note: Even if you don’t want to make any changes, it is still recommended that you take a few minutes to review your current coverage and list of dependents (if applicable) for accuracy.
