Master of Science in Nutritional Health Admission Requirements
The Admissions Committee of the Department of Clinical Nutrition determines the admissibility of an applicant into the Program in accordance with the quality of his or her credentials. The Department works in cooperation with the Office of Enrollment Services of UT Southwestern Medical Center and with the approval of the Dean of UT Southwestern School of Health Professions.
- Baccalaureate Degree
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution before matriculation.
- Recommended GPA
Achievement of a recommended GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Required Prerequisite Courses
Completion of one semester each of Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Associated Laboratories are not mandatory.
While one semester of Biochemistry is recommended, it is not required.
- Official Transcripts
Submission of official transcripts from all attended institutions. Read additional requirements for international applicants.
- Submit Application by April 1
Complete and submit online application by April 1 in the year you wish to enroll.
- Letters of Recommendation
Provision of at least two letters of recommendation.
- Personal Statement
Presentation of a personal statement outlining career goals and work experience.
- Personal Interview
Participation in a personal interview.
