UT Southwestern's Research Development and Shared Services helps faculty make connections and find resources they need to push science forward. Our team can fill specific roles on your research team or provide comprehensive assistance.

Our Services

  • Project management: We offer comprehensive project management support, ensuring that all aspects of the grant application are well-organized and executed efficiently.
  • Collaboration with investigators and reviewers: We help identify potential collaborators and reviewers, both internal and external to the institution, and work side-by-side with you to establish and maintain meaningful working connections.
  • Grant assistance: Our team of highly skilled grant specialists can provide additional support when needed. We work side-by-side with existing departmental grant specialists to make the entire process as stress-free as possible for you.
  • Proposal development: Our team can assist with proposal development based on the unique needs of the study team. Some of the services we provide include:

    • References
    • Literature review
    • Graphics
    • Formatting
    • Letters of support (LOS): We help draft effective LOS to strengthen your application.
    • Non-scientific sections: From administrative sections to budget justifications, we will work closely with you to ensure all non-scientific portions of the grants are well-prepared.
  • Shared services: Our dedicated Research Shared Services team provides research development and grant support by highly skilled research professionals. Our team is structured as a centralized point of service across the research community of UT Southwestern. We work side-by-side with existing departmental grant specialists to make the entire process as stress-free as possible.
