Articulating Your Mentoring Philosophy

The National Institute of Health has announced new guidelines for training grants effective Jan 2025. These include formal mentorship training and inclusion of a mentoring philosophy statement in your NIH Biosketch.

What: UT Southwestern will offer an interactive workshop to help you leverage your mentoring experience to craft a strong personal statement. This will go a long way to showcasing your passion and success in mentoring. Please bring your laptop computers. By the end of the session, you should have a mentoring-focused Personal Statement for your Biosketch completed!

Who: Those who will be submitting/or have recently submitted NIH training grants (such as T32, K12, K24, T35, R25) and want to create a compelling mentor statement in their biosketches should sign up. PIs and listed faculty mentors are welcome.
