GLINT Surveys Give Faculty Members a Voice

GLINT surveys enable leaders to asses their team's level of engagement.
GLINT surveys enable leaders to assess their team’s level of engagement and make decisions to improve engagement in real time.

The Department of Surgery’s mission statement asserts, “We will be the department with the highest levels of inclusiveness, diversity, and engagement to promote the professional development of every member.” In accordance with this statement, the department has obtained the services of GLINT, a company that enables organizations to assess levels of employee engagement in real time.

Using very brief quarterly surveys generated through GLINT, faculty members will be able to anonymously express their opinions on key topics like communication, job satisfaction, and professional development. GLINT does not provide any identifying information to the Department of Surgery leadership team.

GLINT assembles the survey response data into a dashboard that allows leadership to assess current engagement efforts in real time. Based on the responses, the leadership team will be able to make decisions that will boost the faculty’s level of engagement.

The key to improving engagement hinges on every faculty member in the Department of Surgery filling out the quarterly GLINT surveys. With faculty voices, the department can make decisions that will positively impact the lives of its faculty.

The anonymous feedback will be shared at regular faculty meetings, and the leadership team will also share what decisions have been made based on the responses to GLINT surveys.

The first GLINT survey was made available to faculty on November 1.
