Honors

Rachel Wooldridge, M.D., was inducted as a faculty member into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at UT Southwestern. She was also selected by D Magazine as a Best Doctor of 2020.

 

Announcements

Courtney Balentine, M.D., led an Endocrine University seminar on How to Build a Research Program for the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons.

Caroline Park, M.D., was accepted into the 2021 Leadership Emerging in Academic Departments (LEAD) Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Patricio Polanco, M.D., was selected to be a member of the pancreas cancer panel for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. He was also selected to be a member of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

Thomas Schlieve, D.D.S., M.D., served as the chair of the annual residents' conference of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons on November 14, 2020.

Adam Yopp, M.D., was selected to be a member of the hepatobiliary cancers panel for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

 

Grants

Caroline Park, M.D., (in collaboration with Ann Majewicz Fey, Ph.D., at UT Austin) was awarded a grant by the National Science Foundation as part of its National Robotics Initiative for Towards Customizable Haptic Co-Robots for Emergency Surgical Training.
