Radiologist Fetzer performs first contrast-enhanced ultrasound procedure at UT Southwestern
Dr. David Fetzer, Director of Ultrasound for University Hospitals and Clinics, recently performed the first diagnostic contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) procedure at Clements University Hospital.
The procedure is now available for inpatients and outpatients at Parkland and at UT Southwestern, and is a safe, effective trouble-shooting imaging modality that can be considered when computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance (MR) are contraindicated due to allergy or renal dysfunction.
Dr. Fetzer was assisted in the procedure by sonographer Sandra Richardson and Dr. Lori Watumull.
