Once again, UT Southwestern’s Radiology Department had a strong presence at the Radiological Society of North America’s Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting. The organization’s 104^th yearly conference was held November 25-30 in Chicago.

UT Southwestern Radiology faculty and trainees led more than 50 educational courses and presented nearly 40 education exhibits, scientific posters and papers at the event.

A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie award to Dr. Julia Fielding by the American Association for Women Radiologists. Dr. Fielding, who serves as the Chief of Abdominal Imaging, was honored for “positively representing women in radiology, and for serving as a role model.”

After reviewing more than 1,900 education exhibits, the RSNA Education Exhibit Awards Committee presented 29 Magna Cum Laude awards, 67 Cum Laude awards; and 301 Certificate of Merit Awards. Of those awards, two Magna Cum Laude awards, two Cum Laude awards, and eight Certificate of Merit awards were presented to UT Southwestern Radiology faculty and trainees.
