Dwight Oliver, M.D.

Dwight Oliver, MD completed fellowship training in surgical pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and molecular pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has been an academic pathologist since 2000, and is the medical director of the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory at UTSW. His lab has been responsible for developing and performing numerous clinical assays for cancer diagnosis and therapy, including colorectal cancer, glioma, leukemia, lung cancer, lymphoma and melanoma. Dwight is the director of the UTSW Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship and also teaches medical residents and fellows in molecular diagnostic applications in clinical medicine. His research interests include basic science and translational pursuits involving assay design, DNA repair and gastrointestinal and lung cancers.
