Prasad R. Koduru, Ph.D.

Prasad R. Koduru, PhD, FFACMG is a board certified geneticist with experience in cancer genetics since 1984. He completed his fellowship in the Laboratory of Cancer Genetics at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and established the cancer genetics laboratory at North Shore University Hospital in New York. After serving as the Chief of the Division of Cell Genetics at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System he moved to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he was appointed as a Professor of Pathology and assumed the position of Medical Director of the Genetic Diagnostics Laboratories. He has published extensively in genetics and reviews cancer genetics research papers for several journals. He has served as team leader and conducts initial and ongoing accreditations of genetics laboratories in the United State and internationally for the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Koduru is also the director of the clinical cytogenetics fellowship program in the Department of Pathology at UTSW. His research focuses on the molecular genetics of B-cell malignancies.
