How to Apply for Residency

Thank you for your interest in the Neurological Surgery Program at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The Neurosurgery Residency Program accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) offered by the American Association of Medical Colleges.

All matching is through the National Residents Matching Program (NRMP).

  • November 15, 2024
  • December 5, 2024
  • December 17, 2024

To apply for this program through ERAS you will be required to submit the following materials:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
  • 3 Current Letters of Recommendation
  • Medical School Transcript and Diploma/Certificate
  • Photograph
  • Personal Statement
  • USMLE Steps I and II
  • If you are an IMG, you must have a J-1 visa sponsored by the ECFMG or permanent residency. We do not sponsor H-1 visas.
