The Department of Neurological Surgery interacts with medical students in each year of their training. The goals of these interactions include: increasing medical student knowledge about the neurosciences, early exposure of high-quality prospective applicants to the field of neurosurgery, preparation of outstanding UT Southwestern Medical School students for clerkships and residencies at outside institutions, and auditioning prospective applicants to aid in the selection of neurosurgery residents for the UT Southwestern program.
