Nephrology/Critical Care Training

Those individuals who wish to practice intensive care medicine built upon a foundation of nephrology can commence an additional year of Critical Care Fellowship Training at our institution after completion of our nephrology fellowship. This additional training will occur within the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at UT Southwestern offers some of the best clinical training in the country, set in the same diverse learning environment consisting of Parkland Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and the Dallas VA Medical Center.

The Nephrology/Critical Care pathway is only available to trainees after commencing their first year of UT Southwestern general nephrology fellowship training through a competitive application process.
