To mark the occasion of the stepping down of Scott M. Gundy, M.D., Ph.D., as the Director of the Center for Human Nutrition, a challenge has been presented to us to fund a special remembrance that will be a superb surprise and fitting honor for a physician-scientist who has had such a major influence on the field of nutrition. We hope you will join us in recognizing Dr. Grundy's distinguished service and leadership through a gift to support the establishment of a Distinguished Chair in his honor.

To succeed in the establishment of this Distinguished Chair, we must raise $500,000 to meet the challenge goal set forth by a generous donor who will fund the balance of this endowed position. An award of this nature will recognize in perpetuity the immeasurable number of people Dr. Grundy has impacted over the years, including his colleagues in the field of nutrition science, the fellows he has mentored, patients, medical students, and the Friends of the Center for Human Nutrition. It will ensure a lasting and permanent tribute to Dr. Grundy for his dedication to the science of nutrition and the vast number of medical conditions affected by it.
