How did you become interested in science and/or research specifically?
I have always been fascinated by people and understanding human behavior. Part of that was wanting to understand my place in the world and understanding the people around me and how I fit with them. Research is the perfect balance of creativity and process.

Have you received any awards or fellowships during your scientific career, including high school, undergraduate and graduate school?
The Jerry M Lewis Mental Health Foundation grant, Faculty and Student Organization of UT Southwestern Excellence in Student Research Award, The Erin Bain Jones Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Why did you choose to come to UT Southwestern for graduate school?
I chose to come to UTSW to receive research training from faculty well-established in my field of interest as well as continue developing my clinical skills in a variety of settings with diverse patient populations.
In your opinion, what makes your specific program one of the top in the country?
The UTSW CLP program is rigorous yet supportive. Faculty in the program want to see you succeed and will push you to meet your goals as long as you demonstrate desire for that excellence yourself. This program has top tier clinical training that other programs cannot match. Students graduate with a skillset it takes years for other clinicians to develop.
