SGRT Program

Radiation oncologists, medical physicists, medical dosimetrists, administrators, and radiation therapists interested in implementing surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) into clinical practice are encouraged to attend this program.

Led by David Parsons, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, and Kiran Kumar, M.D., M.B.A., Assistant Professor, the primary focus of this course is to help oncology professionals in academic, community, and private centers learn about and better understand the proper implementation of a viable and effective SGRT treatment practice.

The emphasis is on the utilization of SGRT during treatments on linear accelerators and clearance mapping for treatment planning. The course presents an overview and rational for the role of SGRT in these areas and practical experience through clinical observation and demonstration.
