Our Department is a renowned center of excellence in our field. Our faculty are highly trained in general ENT, facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, otology, pediatric ENT, and Rhinology.

Outstanding Faculty and Staff
The faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery consists of 38 physicians, 12 pediatric otolaryngologists, 34 audiologists, 7 advanced practice providers, 6 speech-language pathologists, research scientists, and volunteer faculty. We also have many outside physicians who refer patients from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
History
The Department was established under the leadership of William Meyerhoff, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Meyerhoff served as Chair for almost two decades. In 2002, the Department leadership transitioned to Peter Roland, M.D., who served as Chair until 2014.
During his tenure, Dr. Roland encouraged significant growth in the research, educational and clinical aspects of the Department.
