Education & Training

The NNRC provides a combination of education and training to support the research mission at UT Southwestern. We provide hands-on education tailored to the individual needs of nurses, therapists, and physicians engaged in research.

  • Engaged Nursing Students Partnering In the Research Experience (ENSPIRE): fourteen-month program during which undergraduate nursing students spend five hours per week participating in clinical research trials.
  • Boot Camp: one day BootCamp for nurses who are developing a research protocol and are nearing publication.
  • Fellowship: one-year program during which nurses are provided with the resources and education required to successfully complete a clinical research study for which they are the primary investigator.
We additionally support nurses ad hoc at UTSW and across the globe who seek our help with abstract writing, manuscript preparation, and clinical trial design.
