TMA President Champions Physician Advocacy
Rick Snyder, M.D., president of the Texas Medical Association, recently met with UT Southwestern medical students to discuss the importance of physician advocacy, healthcare policy, and patient access.
Originally from Dallas, Dr. Snyder graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame. He earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology. He is currently president of Hearthplace, an independent cardiovascular group that includes 55 physicians throughout North Texas. A member of the Dallas County Health and Human Services Public Health Advisory Committee, Dr. Snyder has also served as president of the Dallas County Medical Society.
