The William T. and Gay F. Solomon Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) is engaged in a range of clinical, educational, research, quality and safety, and administrative programs in UT Southwestern's medical school and health system, and at our affiliated Parkland and Dallas VA hospitals. Patient Care
Our physicians collaborate with healthcare providers from various disciplines to evaluate patients and deliver evidence-based care across three hospital systems and in ambulatory settings. This team-based approach to patient care promotes excellence in clinical practice within an environment rich in innovation and research.

Division faculty and staff are engaged in research to discover and disseminate evidence-based approaches that enable personalized, high-value care, thereby improving the health of both individuals and the community.
Faculty
Our faculty’s diverse clinical, translational, basic science, and educational interests foster a richly collaborative and intellectually vibrant environment. They serve at three hospital systems, each with distinct populations and disease patterns, providing robust clinical material for research and education.
Training & Education
We educate and train the next generation of physicians to prevent disease when possible, manage chronic conditions when necessary, and support patients and families wherever their journeys may lead by prioritizing a culture of collaborative, evidence-based practice, and by role modeling emotional well-being.
