Advanced Training: Electrophysiology

The ACGME-accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center is designed to develop specialists capable of managing the full spectrum of cardiac rhythm disorders.

Fellows receive training in all invasive and noninvasive modalities required for the diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias, including invasive and noninvasive testing, arrhythmia management device implantation and follow-up, catheter ablation of ventricular and supraventricular tachycardia, and advanced arrhythmia mapping.

Training occurs at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The three hospitals offer full service electrophysiology, with consultative services and fully equipped state-of-the-art dedicated EP laboratories. In addition, a rich didactic curriculum is provided by our faculty during biweekly conferences, and research opportunities are offered in clinical as well as basic sciences.
