Heart to heart: Health Fairs get employees pumped about Heart Month

At the heart of American Heart Month at UT Southwestern were two Heart Month Health Fairs, featuring tasty snacks and recipe demos, blood pressure and BMI screenings, plus other heart health activities and information. Employees at the Bass Center health fair learned about foods that are rich in good fats, low in sodium, and good sources of fiber.

People come to the health fairs because they want to improve their health, said Dr. Amit Khera (pictured, right).
