President's Advisory Board

The President’s Advisory Board provides President Podolsky and Medical Center administration with guidance on the opportunities and challenges the Institution faces across all three parts of its mission – clinical care, education, and research. The Board convenes three times a year. Members include diverse civic, corporate, foundation, and philanthropic leaders from throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Advisory Board Leadership

Aasem Khalil serves as Chair of the President’s Advisory Board of UT Southwestern.

Mr. Khalil is Global Head of Investment Banking Client Services, Global Head of the Cross Markets Group, and Head of the Dallas Office of Goldman Sachs. He is a seasoned leader with nearly three decades of leadership experience, having risen through the ranks of Managing Director and Partner and is known as a respected civic leader and community advocate. When he arrived in North Texas in 2016, Mr. Khalil was eager to understand and support Dallas’ medical landscape. That commitment led him to UT Southwestern, where he has been an active member of the President’s Advisory Board since 2019, chairing the Finance Committee and serving on the Executive and Nominations committees. UT Southwestern is grateful for Mr. Khalil’s leadership, vision, and steadfast belief in the power of academic medicine.
