Recently Graduated Students

Congratulations on completing your program! As you transition from being  students to alumni, you will need to consider your immigration options.

Recently graduated students may:

• Begin a new program of study at UT Southwestern.
• Transfer to another institution to begin another program of study.
• Apply for post-completion work authorization, including:
  • Optional practical training (OPT).
  • Academic training.
• Change to another visa category.
• Leave the United States.
