Summer 2026 Financial Aid Update
Federal summer loan disbursements will be delayed due to required system updates related to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3) changes effective July 1. Students with a FAFSA on file should be able to view and accept summer financial aid by May 11th, but accepted loan funds are not expected to disburse until late May.
Many scholarships and grants will disburse as scheduled on May 8, 2026. Loan funds will not disburse at that time.
Students who accept enough aid to cover Summer 2026 tuition and fees will be protected from course drops or late fees. Please accept your aid as soon as it becomes available.

The Office of Student Financial Aid at UT Southwestern Medical Center administers scholarships, grants, and student loans for the Medical School, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Professions, and School of Public Health. To be eligible for financial assistance, students must be accepted for admission or enrolled in good standing and making satisfactory academic progress.
