Live Cell Imaging Core Facility
The mission of the Live Cell Imaging Core Facility is to provide affordable access to modern optical microscopy for researchers in both the clinical and the basic sciences. The facility offers a variety of microscope imaging modalities including laser-scanning confocal, multiphoton, spinning-disk confocal, wide-field deconvolution, CFP/YFP FRET, TIRF, and single-molecule imaging.
Two workstations are available for offline image processing and analysis, including volume rendering, neuron tracing, 3D measurement, and 3D particle tracking. All the microscopes are inverted and have environmental chambers for control of temperature and CO2.

Policies
Cancellation
Because of heavy use of the microscopes we require that you cancel sessions at least one hour before the scheduled start time. If you are off campus and cannot connect to the scheduler, please email us to cancel. Failure to cancel will result in you (or your PI) being billed for the entire scheduled duration.
Acknowledgement
We respectfully request that you acknowledge the UT Southwestern Live Cell Imaging Facility in any publications resulting from use of our microscopes. For our records, we would also like to be notified of manuscripts submitted and/or published that acknowledge the facility.
Letters of Support
We are happy to furnish letters of support for grant applications. In return, we would like to have a copy of the proposed budget for our records. Please email Kate Phelps.
