Fall Activities Bring Residents and Faculty Together

Faculty vs resident softball game
Residents faced off against faculty in the annual softball game.

Physical activity is an important part of wellness and stress management. As such, members of the Department of Surgery often schedule time to take a mental break from their day-to-day activities. Whether it is the running group hosted by the surgery resident wellness committee, the annual faculty vs. resident softball game, or this year’s Komen Race for the Cure team (assembled by Deborah Farr, M.D.), physical activities are an important part of team-building, engagement, and wellness for the faculty and residents. The residents won the softball game this year, by the way.
