Esophageal Diseases Center

The UT Southwestern Esophageal Diseases Center (EDC) is comprised of UT Southwestern faculty who practice at William P. Clements University Hospital and the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as at affiliated hospitals including Children’s Healthâ„  Children's Medical Center Dallas, Parkland Health and Hospital System, and the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The clinical faculty of the EDC includes adult and pediatric gastroenterologists, general and thoracic surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, and gastrointestinal pathologists devoted to the study of esophageal diseases.

The EDC is part of a fully integrated research effort at UT Southwestern Medical Center in partnership with the  Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery (Division of Thoracic Surgery), Department of Internal Medicine (Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases, Division of Hematology and Oncology), Department of Pathology, Department of Pediatrics (Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology), Department of Radiation Oncology, Department of Surgery, the Simmons Cancer Center, the Children's Health DEEP Program and includes research faculty from these departments.
