Neurology Palliative Clinic

Some neurological disorders are progressive and lead to disability, pain, and loss of independence. Providing support and guidance to patients and their caregivers is a critical part of maintaining quality of life for the longest possible.

Led by Jenny Riecke, M.D., our team includes a social worker and a nursing team to bring palliative care specifically for patients with neurological illnesses. Dr. Riecke has formal training and expertise in both neuromuscular neurology and palliative care.

What we do
The clinic is open to all patients with progressive neurological diseases, including ALS, Parkinson’s disease and related disorders, and dementia. Visits focus on diagnosis and management of disease-related symptoms, advance care planning and medical decision-making, and optimizing supportive care throughout all stages of disease.
