ALS and Muscular Dystrophy Multidisciplinary Clinic
Funded by a Care Center Grant from the Muscular Dystrophy Association, our nationally recognized ALS/MDA clinic serves patients from a large region encompassing north Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
The clinic team is comprised of faculty from different disciplines including, neuromuscular neurology neuropalliative, and physical medicine/rehabilitation, as well as advanced practice providers, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutrition, respiratory therapy, social work, counseling, and equipment/orthotics specialists.
What we do:
Our clinic provides comprehensive care (diagnosis, therapeutics, and research opportunities) for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and genetic muscle disorders. This multidisciplinary ALS and MDA clinic takes place weekly. Our patients are co-managed by pulmonologists and cardiologists who specialize in the care of patients with neuromuscular disorders.
