Neurofibromatosis Program

The neuro-fibromatosis clinic, established in the neuro-oncology clinic in 2023, under the direction of Dr. Nawal Shaikh, is a clinic established to provide comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 and 2. This program is a joint effort between the UTSW adult neuro-oncology program and the Children's Hospital neuro-oncology program to advance clinical trials in the NF1 and NF2 disease states, as well as provide a seamless transition of care from childhood into adulthood.
