Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center
The Robert D. Rogers Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center is certified by the Joint Commission and the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Stroke Association. Our state-of-the-art facilities allow for effective patient care and increase the scope of research opportunities.
As an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, we offer:
- Neurointensive care units are served by the largest group of neurocritical care specialists in North Texas.
- Advanced imaging techniques including MRI/MRA/MRP, CTA/CTP, DSA, CD, and TCD
- Providing care to patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, performing endovascular coiling or surgical clipping procedures for aneurysm, and administering IV thrombolytics with or without endovascular recanalization therapy.
- Using a peer-review process to evaluate and monitor the care provided to patients with ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic strokes.
We have a multidisciplinary team comprising stroke neurologists, neurosurgeons, cardiologists, hematologists, neurointerventional radiologists, neurointensivists, rheumatologists, and PM&R.
Collaborations
We have a weekly Cerebrovascular Conference with neuro-interventional and PM&R faculty to review complex cases and discuss the best approach to care. Together, we strive to deliver excellent clinical care for patients with cerebrovascular diseases and stroke.
