First UTSW job: Legal Assistant to the Managed Care Counsel for UT Southwestern Health Systems (UTSHS).

Best part about my job: Working for an organization that helps people and changes lives.

What energizes me at work: Always having new problems to solve and new challenges to meet.

How co-workers describe me: Quiet, hardworking, and detail-oriented.

Best UTSW memory: Being at the negotiation table for the very first managed care contracts entered into by the Medical Center with companies such as Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

I’m really good at: Multitasking.

Hobbies: Visiting our daughter, who now lives and works in Maryland. When I started at UTSW, she was just turning 1 year old.

Surprising fact: I’m probably one of the few people still here to have worked for the Medical Center’s two related units: UTSHS and Southwestern Health Resources.
