Trisha Savage: 25 years

Trisha Savage

Research Scientist
Johnson Lab, Department of Neuroscience

First UTSW job: Research Assistant.

Best part about my job: The challenges it brings and the opportunity to always be learning something new. I also have enjoyed all the people who have worked with me over the years. I have made many long-lasting friendships with so many of my co-workers. Of course, I also love my Principal Investigator.

How co-workers describe me: Assertive, funny, confident, loyal, and a maker of fun.

Best UTSW memory: The Secret Santa game our lab has held for probably 20 years. The creative and hilarious gifts – and the stories surrounding them – are too numerous to describe, but they’ve provided years of entertainment.

I wish I were an instant expert at: Investing and financial lingo.

I’m really good at: Making people feel comfortable. I can also plan a great vacation.

Hobbies: I’m a foodie and I love to travel.

Surprising fact: I’ve always wanted to be a rock star, and if there’s a karaoke bar around, I’ll usually take full advantage of it.
