First UTSW job: Staff nurse at what was then Zale Lipshy University Hospital.

Best part about my job: Working alongside several of the same colleagues who were with me over 20 years ago on the sixth floor of Zale Lipshy. I would not be here today if it were not for them and our bond as a work family.

How co-workers describe me: A loyal friend with strong character, who is calm, hardworking, persistent, and straightforward.

Recipe for success: I strive to be a servant leader in all things.

Hobbies: Volunteer work with various community service organizations and in our church’s nursery. I also enjoy reading.

Surprising fact: I have the patience to complete tedious cross-stitch projects and large jigsaw puzzles.
