First UTSW job: Research Technician.

Best part about my job: It’s immensely rewarding to be involved in training undergraduates, graduate students, medical students, postdocs, and residents on research projects, and to see their journey to success. I cherish the opportunity to witness their growth and development.

How co-workers describe me: Someone who efficiently tackles tasks, seeks out solutions, is dependable, and serves as a mentor.

I wish I were an instant expert at: Gardening. I love nature and could spend hours walking through botanical gardens or sitting by seashores.

I’m really good at: Multitasking and coordinating community events.

Hobbies: Painting, traveling, playing Candy Crush, and sampling different cuisines.

Final note: I moved from Pakistan to the United States 27 years ago. After dedicating 25 of those years to UTSW, this truly feels like a second home.
