First UTSW job: Temp Receptionist in 1993.

Best part about my job: Having a manager who cares about his staff, both personally and professionally. I also like collaborating with colleagues to make our work environment a place that our staff loves to come to and I enjoy building relationships of trust and respect.

How co-workers describe me: They would say that I am transparent. I am open and honest because I like people to see the “real” me. I have a heart for people.

I’m really good at: I am a great communicator, both orally and written. I believe in precise and clear communication.

Hobbies: I love to read and to travel with my husband and grandchildren.

Surprising fact: I can carry a pretty decent tune, and I am afraid of all bugs – ants and gnats included!

Final note: I came to UTSW as a temp in 1993 and never left. I have seen some pretty amazing things happen since I have been here and hope to witness many more.
