Maria Elda Denbow

Clinical Research Coordinator II
Neuroscience Nursing Research Center, Department of Neurology

First UTSW job: Clinical Research Coordinator.

Best part about my job: I love the opportunity to support groundbreaking research and the chance to work with dedicated and talented individuals.

How co-workers describe me: Supportive, because I strive to keep things running smoothly and always try to help my team succeed.

Funniest UTSW memory: When I parked my car at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital and took a shuttle to my other office at Zale Lipshy Pavilion. At the end of the day when it was time to go home, I looked for my car and walked every floor at the wrong parking garage.

I wish I were an instant expert at: Data analysis to enhance our research outcomes.

I’m really good at: Problem-solving, finding solutions for complex research challenges, and coordinating logistics for our projects.

Hobbies: I enjoy walking, hiking, and sitting out by the campfire at night and staring at the stars.

Surprising fact: I love how it feels to fly a plane. It’s really peaceful up there. All fear is gone when you have control of it at 4,000 feet.
