First UTSW job: Patient Care Technician (PCT) on 3 North.

Best part about my job: I have established many lifelong relationships while working at UTSW. I love the relationships that I have built with my providers, my co-workers, and the patients. I feel my providers have given me every opportunity to use my best nursing judgment.

How co-workers describe me: Fun to work with, easy to talk to, and a team player. I love to laugh, so most days we have a good laugh with each other.

Best UTSW memory: My best memory was starting as a PCT and then passing the National Council Licensure Examination and becoming a Registered Nurse.

I’m really good at: I am becoming a good listener. Sometimes it’s just better to listen instead of offer advice.

Hobbies: I love reading. It takes me to a peaceful place, especially after a long day. I also love traveling with my husband and my boys. Cruising has become our favorite thing to do together.

Surprising fact: I love to fish – it is so calming.

Claims to fame: My husband and my two boys; they mean everything to me.
