First UTSW job: My first job with UT Southwestern was working with the Oacis Clinical Data Repository System on the backend.

Best part about my job: Working with my team. We all are friends in addition to being co-workers and are very supportive of each other. It’s also gratifying to see the immediate positive results of what we do.

I’m really good at: Does Wheel of Fortune count? I’m fairly good at trivia – if it’s useless knowledge, then I probably have it.

Hobbies: Some of my hobbies are astronomy (I have a 10-inch Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope), photography, and I’m just starting to get into woodworking.

Claims to fame: I danced with Cybill Shepherd at a cast party she threw when they were filming Texasville. I had some friends who were in the house band at a club in Wichita Falls (which is very near Archer City, where The Last Picture Show and Texasville were filmed). Cybill liked the band and decided to have her party at their club, which is how I wrangled an invitation. Several years ago, I worked part time as a photographer for CBS Records whenever they had an artist in town. I met and photographed George Jones, Little Jimmy Dickens, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Adam Ant, David Gilmour (of Pink Floyd), Gary Stewart, and several others.
