Director, Faculty Affairs and Administration
UT Southwestern Medical School Dean’s Office

First UTSW job: Working as Administrative Manager in the Department of Pathology.

Best part of my job: I enjoy working with so many people in various departments and centers, and helping them do their jobs, whether it is recruiting a faculty member or problem-solving a difficult issue. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t learn something new.

How co-workers describe me: Honest and hardworking, with high expectations for myself and others.

Surprising fact: I am an avid fan of Star Trek, particularly Next Generation and Voyager.

Unusual memory: Having to extinguish a fire in the wastebasket of a chairman’s office. We had a crowd of firefighters, Physical Plant workers, and others surrounding one charred wastebasket. Hindsight makes it comical, but it wasn’t funny at the time.
