Charlotte Washington: 25 years
Medical Office Assistant/Phlebotomist
Obstetrics and Gynecology
First UTSW job: I started working as a Phlebotomist.
Best part of my job: I enjoy interacting with the new mothers and newborns. It’s especially gratifying to draw blood with ease for a terrified patient. One mother sent me flowers after I finished drawing blood painlessly from her teenage daughter.
How co-workers describe me: Happy and friendly.
Surprising fact: I’m not a big sports fan, but I have met Drew Pearson. I also have a good eye for photography.
Unusual memory: One of my best memories is of working at Oak West when it was still open. The clinic was designed with us in mind and it had a full kitchen. We had lots of good cooking and fun gatherings. Co-workers from other clinics would join us, and we had a wonderful time.
