UT Southwestern among the best medical, biomedical schools in latest U.S. News rankings
UT Southwestern Medical School is ranked among the top 20 medical schools for primary care and the top 30 for research in the United States, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2020 Best Graduate Schools Rankings. UT Southwestern ranked 18th for primary care and 26th for research.
Among medical specialties, UT Southwestern nationally ranked:
- 15th for Internal Medicine
- 16th for Pediatrics
- 17th for Anesthesiology
- 20th for Surgery
Among health specialties, UTSW ranked:
- 7th for Physician Assistant Programs
“These latest rankings, as well as other measures, continue to demonstrate the robust quality of education UT Southwestern offers to train our medical students and residents to become physicians who can provide exceptional care and research scientists who are equipped to make discoveries that can lead to better treatments,” said Dr. W. UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences is ranked 18th in the nation among graduate schools for Biological Sciences and 13th for Biochemistry.
