First UTSW job: Working as an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Surgery.

Best part of my job: I like interacting with people, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with most of the employees at the Simmons Cancer Center. There’s never a dull moment.

How co-workers describe me: Nice. I often work with individuals who are having difficulties, and I try to be understanding, helpful, and calm.

Surprising fact: I paint in watercolors. I don’t have much time for it, but I hope to do more painting after I retire later this year.

Best memories: The Service Awards program in the 1990s was great fun. It was held in the Tom and Lula Gooch Auditorium and Wes Norred was the emcee. Such a comedian! I also was so proud when the Simmons Cancer Center attained its NCI designation and its Comprehensive Cancer Center designation.
