First UTSW job: I was hired as a Registered Nurse – the same job since I started at UT Southwestern in 1993.

Best part of my job: I love teaching the families how to care for their newborns. Every birth is a miracle. I also have great co-workers. Everyone gets along and is supportive of one another.

How co-workers describe me: Helpful and calm. I don’t get riled up. I think my military upbringing helped me develop this. We moved so often, we always had to regroup and keep going.

Final note: I like to ride my Harley, read, travel, and work in the garden. Being with my family is the most important thing to me.
