First UTSW job: Working as a Radiologic Technologist

Best part of the job: The stimulating work has given me the opportunity to pursue different careers over the years, including working in IT supporting the electronic health record (EHR) and working in data analytics.

How co-workers describe me: Approachable, flexible, persevering, and a terrible singer.

Surprising fact: In elementary school, I helped in my father’s pharmacy by typing up prescription labels.

Unusual memory: This is more of a fond memory: I am one of the original employees from the Radiology Department at the James W. Aston Ambulatory Care Center, which opened in 1984. As this was before the medical imaging technology of PACS, the physicians would come to the Department to review the radiographs with the radiologist; there was a strong sense of appreciation and camaraderie between the physicians and the technologists.
