Michael J. Jones: 25 years
Faculty Coordinator
Internal Medicine – Chairman’s Office
First UTSW job: I was hired as a Human Resources Representative II (Research Recruiter) in the Department of Human Resources in November 1999.
Best part of my job: It’s such a cliché, but my co-workers.
How co-workers describe me: Persistent – I am persistent in getting the information I need in order to get the task accomplished as quickly as possible.
Surprising fact: Before returning to Texas in 1994, I lived in New York City, working in the fashion industry for eight years.
Final note: After over three years as a Human Resources Representative II, I was an Administrative Associate in the Pathology Chair’s Office (2003-06) before moving to the Internal Medicine Chair’s Office, where I served as Senior Administrative Associate (2006-10) and Administrative Coordinator (2010-16) before stepping into my current role as Faculty Coordinator in 2016.
