Jeanetta P. Marshburn-Wynn: 30 years
Research Assistant I
Molecular Biology
First UTSW job: Working as an Animal Technician in the Animal Resource Center (ARC).
Best part of my job: My work overseeing the care and maintenance of a large mouse colony contributes to the effort to find cures for many different illnesses.
How co-workers describe me: Good at offering encouragement and willing to help anyone in any way.
Surprising fact: I love to dance and skate with my family. All three of my children went into military service with the U.S. Air Force.
Final note: After 10 years in the ARC, I advanced to my current job. That’s proof that setting goals can work. Great supervisors, co-workers, and doctors provided me with opportunities to achieve my goals. Now I try to give that support back to others on the job and in my personal life.
