Theresa Edwards: 30 years
Reimbursement Specialist
Plastic Surgery
First UTSW job: I was hired as a Claims Analyst for the Medical Service Research and Development Plan (MSRDP) in 1988.
Best part of my job: It’s never boring.
How co-workers describe me: Kind, witty, always willing to help, and tries to keep a positive, upbeat attitude with a lot of laughter.
Best memory: One of my best memories is when our Department donated Christmas gifts to the Ronald McDonald House. We had the privilege of learning more about the facility and the families they help. We toured the previous facility and were also blessed to visit the new location.
Surprising fact: I have always wanted to play the drums. It’s not too late to learn.
Final note: I am very active with my church, including participating in the women’s ministry, singing with two choirs, and volunteering with local charities and outreach ministries. I have five adorable grandchildren who are very active in sports and the arts, so I am all over the city supporting them. I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, from weekend brunches to live theater, movies, and traveling. My goals including learning to speak Spanish and training as a runner.
