Celebrate the amazing work of the UTSW Health System at the inaugural Celebration of Excellence

We don’t always get the opportunity to connect with colleagues across the campus to celebrate, share, and learn about the great work being done by the people of UT Southwestern's Health System.

But that day is coming soon. March 22 will mark the inaugural UTSW Health System Celebration of Excellence, a daylong event that will highlight examples of innovation and improvement in quality, patient experience, people, and financial stewardship throughout the Health System.

Open to the entire campus, this annual event will feature speakers and poster presentations that focus on the outstanding efforts and successes of our employees on a daily basis.

Poster presentations will cover four areas:

  • Quality
  • Patient Experience
  • People
  • Financial Stewardship

The day’s keynote speaker will be Lt. Gen. John Sattler (USMC retired), former Director of Strategic Plans and Policy, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In the afternoon, participants will be able to attend breakout sessions to learn how award-winning teams found success as they exhibited UT Southwestern’s values: excellence, compassion, innovation, and teamwork.

“I am really proud of the year we have had,” said Dr. Will Daniel, Vice President and Chief Quality Officer, UT Southwestern Health System. “Our continual pursuit of excellence and level of teamwork here at UT Southwestern has placed us within the top 10 percent of academic medical centers in the country in terms of overall outcomes and patient experience.”
